Audit Remediation Specialist helps clients optimize all the
internal controls throughout all elements of their organization,
including financial reporting, accounting, logistics, property
management, civilian pay, and procurement. - Supporting audit
remediation activities, such as developing/updating process
documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and
developing/implementing corrective action plans to address
findings. - Performing recurring testing, such as testing internal
controls, designing and executing Managers Internal Controls
Programs (A-123). - Providing targeted area support based on
Component (e.g., performing root cause analysis for journal
vouchers and FBWT variances, conducting PP&E audit remediation,
etc.). - Applies federal accounting, financial management, and
audit knowledge/expertise when assisting with the development of
solutions and providing recommendations to clients - Manage and
execute projects and provide guidance and direction for specific
projects or sub-tasks. What You Will Need:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain SECRET
federal security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3+) plus years of accounting, auditing, internal
controls, business process improvement, budget, or other similar
Financial Management and Reporting discipline.
- General experience with data analytics, management and
presentation tool kits.
- Experience interacting with senior officials in a commercial or
Federal or state and local government environment . What Would Be
Nice To Have:
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
- Experience working as an Accountant, Auditor or Audit
Remediation Specialist performing the following:
- Supporting DoD accounting and financial reporting.
- Providing assessments and improvements of financial statement
auditability
- Applying pertinent financial accounting standards advisory
board (FASAB) policies and federal financial management systems
requirements
- Performing financial statement audits, audit readiness services
or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another
Federal Government agency or department
- Internal controls
- Federal financial statement auditingThe annual salary range for
this position is $67,400.00-$134,800.00. Compensation decisions
depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to
skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure
and certifications, and other business and organizational
