The clinical coordinator is responsible for management of patients and staff. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, the clinical coordinator plans, directs, supervises and evaluates the flow and care of patients. Participates in the interviewing, counseling, disciplinary actions and evaluation process. Te clinical coordinator guides, directs and develops staff in collaboration with the clinical director. Actively resolves daily patient, family and physician issues and reports any significant concerns to the director in a timely manner. Will participate in direct patient care as needed. Provides leadership and direction to improve patient care through education, P.I. initiative, involvement in hospital QI initiatives and support of SPHV nursing philosophy and objectives.

Requirements:

* FL RN license
* Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred
* BLS, ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
* 2 years' experience required.

About the Job:

* Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care
* Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
* Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
* Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* 3x12s, varying days
