RN- Registered NursePOSITION TITLE: RN

FLSA: EXEMPT

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Diploma from accredited school of nursing
* Florida RN license required.
* Supervisory skills required.
* Excellent communication and teaching skills.
* Ability to work with various cultural groups.
* Ability to prioritize work.
* Demonstration of knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
* BLS required.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

* Provide nursing care services in triaging, health education, emergency care and coordination of patient services based on the nursing process - assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Work primarily in assigned area of expertise and serve as back-up in other nursing specialties, as needed.
* Monitor and control patient flow closely to assure an efficient system
* Assure high quality care is provided in a culturally competent manner.
* Utilize problem solving techniques in coordinating patient care and in promoting a good working environment.
* Utilize good interpersonal skills with staff and patients.
* Participate in clinical committees and community programs as assigned.
* Maintain a high standard of professionalism based on the State Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards and our agency policies.
* Other duties as assigned.
