Division School of Health ProfessionsDepartment Col.Health Professions & Sci.Location Ruskin, FlPosition SummaryGannon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program located at the Ruskin, Florida campus seeks two core faculty members, with assigned rank based on experience and earned degree. These full-time, 12-month positions will begin upon hire or as negotiated. Gannon seeks excellence through inclusiveness and invites members of underrepresented groups to apply. Gannon University faculty work collaboratively with colleagues, deliver instruction, advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in service. Faculty and students work together in new contemporary classroom and lab spaces. Gannon University is located in Ruskin, Florida along the Gulf Coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Bradenton region. The DPT program is housed within the School of Rehabilitative Sciences in the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences. You can learn more about the college on our website.Required QualificationsRequirements for a tenure track appointment include an earned advanced post-professional degree (e.g. PhD, EdD DHSc, etc.) in physical therapy or a related field or a teaching track appointment requires the DPT degree. Additional required qualifications include greater than three (3) years of teaching in a DPT program, greater than five (5) years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, and contemporary academic curriculum expertise in one or more of the following content areas: neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, pediatrics, pathology, evidence based practice and health systems and policy. Candidates must be eligible for FL PT licensure.
