Job Description:

Our client is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to providing care and shelter to homeless animals in the Englewood, Florida area. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Foster Coordinator to join our team and help us provide the best possible care to our animals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement foster care programs for the organization
• Recruit, screen, train and support foster parents
• Match animals with suitable foster homes based on their needs and personalities
• Coordinate transportation of animals to and from foster homes
• Monitor and evaluate the health and well-being of animals in foster care
• Provide medical and behavioral support to foster parents as needed
• Maintain accurate records of foster animals and their progress
• Develop and maintain relationships with local veterinary clinics, rescue groups and other animal welfare organizations
• Participate in adoption events and other fundraising activities as needed Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in animal science, animal behavior or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in animal welfare, with a focus on foster care
  • Strong knowledge of animal behavior, health and welfare
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    
    Compensation: $40,000
