Registered Cardiac Sonographer working independently and under general supervision according to established policies and procedures, performs routine and complex echocardiography examinations. Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, trans-thoracic, trans-esophageal, stress and contrast echocardiograms (utilizing commercially prepared contrast agents) exams. Assist in training and instruction in echocardiography ultrasound procedures.Registered Cardiac Sonographer working independently and under general supervision according to established policies and procedures, performs routine and complex echocardiography examinations. Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, trans-thoracic, trans-esophageal, stress and contrast echocardiograms (utilizing commercially prepared contrast agents) exams. Assist in training and instruction in echocardiography ultrasound procedures.--Assists other department personnel as required in preparation of reports, files and various image storage medical for referring physicians and for final interpretation by interpreting physician. Graduate of an approved program of echocardiography sonography, non-invasive cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and training. Registry in echocardiography and sonography by either the American registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.-- 3 years previous experience in Echo. Prefer previous lead/supervisory experience. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skill in the performance of trans-thoracic contrast echocardiograms. --Experience in placing intravenous lines and administration of IV medications is desirable. --Experience in EKG interpretation and cardiac and vascular stress testing is preferred.--American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or registry eligible REQUIRED.
